Children in Need 2017.

Cheadle Mosque is proud to be supporting Children in Need once again this year. Food as you know is a great way to a person’s heart; so this year our technical boffins at Cheadle Mosque worked with Sanam Sweet House and Restaurant to create the World’s Biggest Pudsey Baarfi !

(Baarfi – is a dense milk based sweet confectionery from South Asia – Pakistan / India, a type of mithai. The name is a derivative of the word barf, which means snow)

We are pretty sure this has never been created before and if you were at Friday prayers today, who would have had the opportunity to eat the only Baarfi Pudsy Bear in existence – if there was ever a claim to fame – that has to be one of the finest.

But the biggest honour was to be supporting Children in Need – a charity whose super work makes life that bit better for those children who need our support. Isn’t it amazing that thousands upon thousands of people up and down the country can come together in manic fundraising to help others – others who they may never meet; but this is what “a community” is all about – and we are proud to be very much part of it.

Thank you again to all those who supported Children in Need and especially to Sanam Sweet House and Restaurant who donated the Giant Pudsey!
