Salah at Cheadle Masjid

Assalaamualaikum dear Brothers and Sisters,

We pray that you are well insha’Allah.

Alhamdullilah the lockdown in Stockport was lifted on Wednesday the 2nd September, with that in mind we would like to welcome more of our congregation back to the Masjid.

Previously those over 70 years of age or with medical conditions putting them in a higher risk category of becoming ill with COVID 19 – were advised not to attend the Masjid; however with restrictions easing some members of this group could now return Insha’Allah.

COVID 19 is still circulating, so we are still advising caution for those who wish to return. Therefore please calculate your "risk" by using the risk calculator here :

www.cheadlemosque.org/risk-assessment-for-attending-cma-masjid/

If you were previously in a high-risk category but score 6 or below on the calculator, you are welcome to return to the Masjid – we would recommend coming for Fajr, Zuhr and ‘Asr where there are fewer people.

If you score 7 or above on the calculator, we would advise you not to attend the Masjid for now to protect your health.

This guidance will continually be reviewed – we do want the Masjid to return to normal as soon as possible but we also wish to protect our congregation Insha’Allah.

If you would like to pray Jumu'ah at Cheadle Masjid,

please click here to register.

For those who registered you will receive a message stating whether or not you are able to attend Jumu’ah and which Jamaat you should attend. Please do follow the instructions in the message you receive, if you were asked not to attend this week rest assured you will be able to pray jumu’ah within the next 2-3 weeks Insha'Allah.

Our intention is to ensure everyone has the opportunity to pray once every 2 weeks for the foreseeable future.
Please could we remind people that if they can not attend, to please let us know as not attending, means that you have deprived someone else from enjoying the blessings of Jumu'ah. Those who do not attend will be removed from the registration list.

Jazaakum Allahu Khayrun for your patience and understanding.
We ask Allah swt to protect us all and shower us with His mercy.

Cheadle Masjid redevelopment

Cheadle Masjid is a very active Masjid and hosts a wide range of activities and events to engage the Muslim and wider community. The original building was a formerly a church – St Columbus and has served both the Christian and Muslim communities well – however the building is no longer able to cater for the community’s needs.

The community therefore has taken on the mammoth task of redeveloping the site to house a purpose build Masjid that will cater for the community’s needs.
