Islamic Wills

“It is the duty of a Muslim who has anything to bequeath not to let two nights pass without writing a Will about it.” {Sahih al-Bukhari}

It is extremely important for a Muslim to leave a Will that is in accordance with Islamic guidelines, especially in a country where not leaving such a Will results in the estate being distributed contrary to the rules laid out in the Shariah.

A Will is essentially the last act of man on this Earth, its effect will not only impact on a person’s family after he/she has departed this temporal world, but the effect of leaving something in your Will as a means of Sadaqah Jariyah will benefit you long after you die.

We encourage you to leave a portion of your wealth to the Masjid and thereby receive a share in the rewards of all the activities and worship that take place in the masjid for generations to come, Insha’Allah.
