We often see sports as just recreational activities, but sport provides nourishment for both the body and mind; you learn to evaluate your mistakes and shortcomings, prepare for the next challenge all while learning to respect your opponent. Here at Cheadle Mosque, we aim to inspire young people to be the best version of themselves through sports and other social activities.
Cheadle Masjid provides young people with a safe and productive environment under the supervision of qualified and experienced staff. Taking part in sports at the Masjid will not only help their personal development but will allow them to experience part of being a team and learn about collective and community values. Our youth are the leaders of tomorrow, so the youth program at Cheadle Mosque is there to help polish leadership and communicative traits.
Cheadle Masjid is an inclusive institution and provides facilities for not only Muslim youth, but all those in the community as part of our intercommunity efforts. When people from different backgrounds can enjoy mutual leisures such as sport, it produces a sense of harmony, mutual respect and acceptance which is extremely important to fight extremism and intolerance.
